TechTalk: The 2025 NISC Famous Chollima Incident

Famous Chollima is a North Korean-affiliated threat actor whose operatives pose as legitimate IT professionals looking for remote work. Between 2024 and 2025, the group infiltrated more than 320 companies to earn salaries that were funneled back to the North Korean regime. In April 2025, NISC identified an individual tied to Famous Chollima within its own workforce.

Bill will walk through the incident response steps NISC followed to detect, investigate and remove the threat from its IT systems, while making sure no members were affected. A brief Q&A will follow.
