TechND is pleased to share its new biennial publication – the 2019 State of the Technology Industry Guide. The 2019 edition confirms that technology is an economic driver for North Dakota as it impacts virtually all industries, from agriculture to health care and finance to energy, and stimulates job growth and innovation.
North Dakota has seen an increase of more than 27 percent in technology occupations over the past decade and is projecting a 20 percent increase with more than 6,500 new and replacement positions needed over the next 10 years. These are professional, high-paying jobs in all industries with an average annual wage of $61,900, which is 23 percent higher than the state average.
The Guide is distributed to state and federal policy makers, educators and economic developers statewide. View the complete Guide here. Included is additional information on the state’s technology sector in the areas of infrastructure, workforce, trends, competitiveness, and economic impact.
