State revenue collections ahead of forecast

ND Office of Management and Budget Director Joe Morrissette shared the latest state budget numbers with Budget Section legislators at a meeting on Wednesday, June 26. He noted collections for the 2017-19 biennium, which ended June 30, are about $50 million over forecast, although final numbers won’t be available until August or September. Excluding transfers, 2017-19 revenues through May are tracking $410.3 million or 12.3 percent ahead of the same time period in the 2015-17 biennium.

Legislative Council presented its chart of estimated revenue and distribution for the 2019-21 biennium at the same meeting. For those interested in digging into the details of the 2019-21 biennium budget, Legislative Council has posted its budget status report and summary of state budget actions.

Interim meetings scheduled to date are posted on the July calendar.
